As a rule most books in the United Kingdom are extremly safe to deal as the regulatory authorities are very strict with who they adward licences to. Ok so they might sometimes limit the size of the bets that you can place or ban you from taking part on their bonus promotions but the risk of them actually confiscating your cash is pretty non existant unless you have been done somthing seriously illegal!
If you move further away from the United KIngdom you will frequently hear horror stories with a lot of organisations setting up with the offer of massive sign up bonuses which they then either don't honour or are very very slow at parting with any winnings.Some of the worst of these recently have been based out of malta with the authorities there being particulary "toothless".
We will post here the bookmakers we personally would avoid but as always its upto you to do your own research.
A bookmaker that is being quite heavily promoted on various sites at the moment is Bet770- here is the view of boomakers review:
Customers of Bet770, apparently operating from Curacao, but very active on the French market, report 2-3 weeks slow pays, while bonus offers seem to be increasing. Bet770 downgraded to 2 (2.5-) and added to the Orange list. Considering that French regulator ARJEL clearly said they will go after unlicensed operators, Bet770 is probably one to avoid for the time being.
I have also been hearing some bad reports about betway and the fact that they have flatly refused to offer the bonuses to UK customers after sign up despite nothing in the T&C's - I work on the principle that if I don't trust them to pay a bonus then would I trsu them to pay out on a bet? As always do your own research.......
